AXR02: The Shift is an interactive narrative game you can play right away. You do not need an account, and you do not need to provide any personal information.
Data collection and use
- Game progress stays on your device: The nickname you enter, your progress, and your ending records are stored in your browser's local storage. They are never sent to a server and are not linked to other players. Clearing your browser data removes them.
- Google Analytics: This site uses Google Analytics to see how many people start playing and where they stop, which informs which chapters need work. The data is anonymous and aggregated, and is not used to identify individual players.
- Advertising (Google AdSense): This site shows Google auto ads to keep play free. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this or other sites. You can opt out of personalised advertising at Google Ads Settings:

- Ad performance measurement: This site uses Google Ads conversion tracking to measure visits from advertising. This measurement is aggregated and does not identify individual players.

- Local storage: Keeps your nickname and game progress so you can continue after a refresh.

You can disable cookies or clear local storage in your browser settings; clearing it loses your game progress.

Because this site keeps no player data on any server, you can remove everything related to you at any time by clearing your browser data.
